Dental Care

At Jackson Veterinary Clinic, we take your pet’s oral health seriously. We provide dental scaling, which is a process that removes tartar buildup, preventing further complications of the mouth. Occasionally, removal of teeth is required, either in the case of an infection or compaction of adult and baby teeth. After the dental cleaning is done we help to prevent future problems by coating the teeth with OraVet, which is an anti-tarter gel. This is also available for you to do at home.

Surgery

These are some of the procedures we offer. If you have a question about something that is not on this list then feel free to contact us and ask about it. If your pet needs more than one thing done then you can opt to have them all done at the same time to lower expense as well as the anesthesia risk. Spay and Neuter

Spaying and neutering are important and necessary medical procedures that enhance the quality of your pets' life. Not only does spaying and neutering have positive effects on your pets' health, it's also vital to controlling the homeless pet population.

Microchipping

At Jackson Veterinary Clinic, we are happy to offer microchipping. Every year, thousands and thousands of pets go missing. Not knowing where your pet is or how to bring them back can be a helpless, hopeless feeling. It’s a tragedy that happens all too often.

But there is a simple, safe, and effective way to ensure your pet's safety and retrieval should he or she ever become lost. Microchipping is a standard procedure that implants a tiny chip underneath your pet's fur. It is a painless and relatively fast procedure and is completely safe.

Vaccinations

At Jackson Veterinary Clinic in Jackson, GA , we believe that one of the most important aspects of caring for your pet's health is vaccinating him or her against possible diseases. There are a variety of diseases which affect our pets, and other animals, so proper vaccination is vital to protecting them from many types of illnesses.

Parasite Prevention

Boarding

Through the clinic and out the back door, we have our cozy little Bed & Kibble. Your pet is welcome to come and enjoy private kennels where they can bring their own beds or enjoy one of ours. We supply breakfast, lunch, and dinner, if mom and dad allow it, or you can send your babies favorite food with them. We have an exercise yard where they can run and play several times a day.

We do not allow pick up after hours, but the babies do get refreshments and play time on weekends and holidays, as well as visits by the doctor.

Grooming

Are those nails getting to be too much? Is that hair getting out of control? The Jackson Day Spa is the answer to your prayers.

We can cut your hair in almost any of the current styles. We have a wide range of shampoos that can help with your dry skin, get your coat white, and make you smell fresh and clean. We have a de-shed selection that can remove that irritating undercoat. And if fleas and ticks are your problem, all of our grooming selections include a special shampoo that is sure to kill any pests that live in your hair. We also apply a preventive after your bath. We will clean those ears with a special cleaner and trim up those nails.

Onsite Diagnostics

We have state-of-the-art diagnostic tools that allow our staff to diagnose your pets' condition or illness better. It is our commitment to stay on the cutting edge of diagnostic technology.

Having these advanced diagnostic tools allows us to examine specific areas more carefully and provide a quicker and more accurate diagnosis. We use many tools such as radiology, lab tests, and various other equipment and tests.

Cremation

The family pet is the heart of the household. They share their love with no strings attached, they inspire laughter and fun. A pet is always there to greet you at the end of a long day, and they are there to cheer you up when you are feeling blue. They are there to guard you at night when you are sleeping.
